The Fig Fumb Black Edition, born out of customer feedback and a shortfall in component availablity has made for a very good sounding muff style fuzz.  Many of us have endured the crazy pandemic problems of not getting your favourite pedals because of components shortages.  We have too. 

So one day I thought, well if you can‘t beat the lack of components then lets work with what we have and can get a hold of, making something truly ltd.

So I did and it led me down a path to change the Fig Fumb fuzz and alter the circuit. This has resulted in a muff style fuzz with a different bark, a tighter bass response, an altered noise gate with a smoother feel and a wider usability in all extreme settings of the EQ. 

Its more refined going from distortion to fuzz while still retaining all the dynamics and wide frequency band range that we are known for. If you like your different flavours of muff style fuzz, for blues, doom, metal or grunge then this is the fuzz for you. Single coils, Humbuckers, Bass, Synth and even processing Kick and Snare through this unit will pay dividends on your creativity.

Specification

The Fig Fumb adds class and control to the classic ‘Muff’ fuzz design. Bursting at the seams with the smooth singing fuzz-stortion tones that we all know and love, Fig Fumb sports a switchable noise gate, as well as a super precise Paracentric EQ for ultra-tight fuzz tones that’ll cut through any mix like a flaming sword through butter (that butter never stood a chance!). Plus, with on-the-fly tone sculpting or foot-controlled phaser and wah sounds via the optional Stone Deaf EP-1 active expression pedal, you suddenly have the coolest and most versatile fuzz pedal known to musickind. 

Inspired by and based on the classic Big Muff circuit, the Fig Fumb adds and holds a superb amount of stability due to the fact it has a built-in foot-switchable noise gate. It also contains a fully Paracentric EQ to dial in perfect muff tones from all the different flavours of the various Big Muff eras, as well as letting you counter that dreaded mid-scoop, seeing you cut through the mix with ease.

The Fig Fumb is a veritable journey through classic fuzz history, letting you get the tones of your heroes fast and easy, as well as letting you dial in new and unique fuzz tones that might just carve your own place in rock n roll history. 

 Add a Stone Deaf EP-1 active expression pedal to the expression input control and on top of the impressive regular tone shaping features, Fig Fumb can also achieve fuzz wah, fuzz phaser and manual tonal shift tones as well as the ability to control your tone on the fly with your foot.
